Quizzes, reports!!

From today onwards, I won't be going home...

for two weeks.

Hehe.

My parents had to attend this kenduri back at their hometown (their hometown, not mine) in Johor. Usually they would have dragged me along, just to torture me, so that I can bore myself to death over there.

But this time, there's an exception.

I told my dad that I have MASB mid term (which is true) and I will have to stay here in Uniten. So I escape!! I don't have to go back to JB! Yay!

Heehee. This is a bit like Survivor, since I'm sleeping in the living room and all, but the only difference is that I don't have to eat lizards and insects to survive. My parents gave me enough money to survive for two weeks, so that I can buy some decent food.

I love my folks! Hee...!

But I'm not so happy coz I have hydraulic test tomorrow, and Structural Analysis and Soil Mechanics quizzes the following day :(

I've just finished my first batch of Diane-35. Wonder what will happen next. I think I've lost a bit of weight, coz I can fit into all my kebaya. My next target is to be able to fit into the tight Dorothy Perkins black dress.

bad haircut

I'm so angry right now I can eat someone alive.

I've just wrote a long entry about my bad haircut and stupid Blogger didn't publish it. And did I mention I have a bad haircut??

I always get bored easily with my haircut, so I tend to change it very often. Latest is I'm bored with my messy long, layered hairdo. Makes me look old. So I want to trim it a few inches shorter, but not too short, I just want it fall below shoulder level.

I made the mistake of telling the hairdresser I wanted a bob. She said that if I want a bob, I'd have to cut it shorter, coz the length that I wanted isn't sufficient to create a bob. So I was like, OK, whatever.

Saying "OK, do whatever you want" to a hairdresser is the worst mistake you can make.
She cut my hair supershort! She said it's shoulder length but it's not. My hair looks something like this...like Victoria Beckham's do...

The only difference is that it looks good on Victoria coz she's so skinny, and it looks awful on my coz I'm so chubby. I shouldn't have said I wanted a bob, I can always create a bob myself, using rollers and hairdryer.

On my way home, I felt like crying, even though I receive compliments from makciks at the shops etc etc. But they were complimenting my very black and very thick and very straight hair (my hair is always poker straight once I had it cut, dunno why). But my hairstyle?? It's terrible.

I notice that there's always the same cycle whenever I change my hair:

1)Bored with current hair.
2)Went to hairdresser. Realizes that current hairstyle isn't so bad after all. But too late to go home.
3)Cut hair.
4)Hair looks great.
5)Hair grows back,look terrible.

Why can't my hair always look as good as it was when I left the salon???

Lizards...they just won't leave me alone

Every sem I will be having problems with lizards in my room. And this sem is no different. The lizard poop on my bed, and crawl around my room.

I'm too lazy to change rooms again though. So I dragged my mattress into the living room. So from now on, I'll have to sleep and study in the living room. My room is used only for dressing up.

But then, when I wanted to charge my phone in my room, I saw that lizard again! I called my housemate, Ain, who happens to dislike lizards too. She was armed with a can of Ridsect, and my own weapon was a broomstick.

The lizard came out of its hiding and I started hitting it with the broomstick furiously, but failed to kill it. Ain sprayed the lizard with Ridsect, she's always like, "Dia dah pening dah...Dah nak mati tu."

But a few seconds later the lizard crawl out again, showing no signs of dying. The whole thing was so funny coz everytime the lizard came out,Ain and me would be screaming like maniacs. Haha.

I need a new bag

Lurrrve these bags from Topshop...

Criterias for my new bag:

-it must be a duo-wear bag.

Meaning that it comes with a long strap but there's an option to carry it as a tote when things get heavy. Bags like these are the must-haves this season!!!

-it must be spacious.

So that I can put it my notebooks, stationery, umbrella, lab coat etc.

If it's not oversize, then it must have an out-of-the-box design. Quirky bags are also the trend right now. I saw an apple shaped bag at Sunway Pyramid, too bad it comes in yellow, if it's red I would have bought it.

At first I wanted the Clinique bag (free with purchase of RM250 and above, inclusive of a 3-step skincare product) but when I saw the bag, it's not large enough.

OK, gtg now! It's only the second week of classes but there's a lot to catch up on!

How embarassing

It happened during the Msian Studies night class.

After the class end I was about to drive home. But there's a car parked beside me full of guys. The driver was waving and smiling at me, and the rest of the guys in the car was grinning. I waited for them to pull out of the parking space first, but they waited for ME. So I quickly reversed (the driver was still smiling and waving at me) and then in my hurry to get out of these a.s.a.p, I hit the stupid concrete barrier!

It was super embarassing coz a few people notice it (who wouldn't notice the sound of a crash?) and I bet all the idiots who were parked beside me were having a good time laughing.

Poor Cute Mobil. I was so shocked I didn't even brake! I think it must be intertia or something, coz she braked herself! Then I drove back to my apartment like a mad woman, coz I was anxious to the the damage I've done to my car. I bet the whole front part was ruined.

Fortunately, it was nothing serious. Just stratches. Only worse, more scratches than the time I hit the gate at my house. And I didn't notice the scratches at first, after I looked closely two or three times, then I noticed it. But still...the sound of the crash...I'm sure everyone in the class will refer to me as either "the girl with the rediculously large eyes" or "the girl who's a bad driver." Omg, I'm worried about the cost to repair the scratches. When I hit the gate last time, my dad polished Cute Mobil and the paint was back to normal, but I couldn't repair the dent.

I was so sad, shocked, humiliated, worried that the first person I informed about the little accident is my bf. I texted him, telling him to call me after his class coz I'm so lost. He called me a few minutes later and managed to calm me down (a bit). And then I called home and my mum said my dad wasn't home yet. A few minutes later my dad called and told me not to worry coz it's "part of driving". He said his Honda has many scratches too. I said, "But you didn't hit anything.Maybe it's stones or something." Then he said something which I couldn't hear clearly. But anyway, since Cute Mobil will be approaching her 1000km soon, my dad will take her to the service centre and ask if they can repair the scratches. In the mean time, he will try to polish it.

Anyway, Cute Mobil is a great car. Judging by the sound of the crash just now, my plate number could have falled off or the front part will be severely damage, but she survived with just minor scratches. Amazing. She really does have a strong body.

Oh, by the way, my housemate is really nice. Not only she always offers to buy dinner for me, but after the little accident, she even called her friend straight away to find out about the cost of paint job etc etc. That's very nice of her.

It's bonus time!

Yay the mega sale is on!
Went to the Clinique counter at KLCC to get my sunscreens.
Bought the Sun Care body cream SPF 50, Derma White Super City Block SPF40 and All About Eyes concealer.

Actually the makeup bag is supposed to be yellow, but I told the beauty consultant that it's fugly so she had it changed for me.

My life right now

Structural Analysis and Hydrology & Hydraulic classes on Friday had been changed to Monday and Thursday. But I'm still worried that if there are no vacant classrooms on those days and the classes have to be change back to Friday. I hope that won't happen. Please, please let there be vacant classrooms.

Diane-35 seemed to be working. So far I have not got any acne on my face, except for a few small cystic-like pimples on my jaw, but they dried up fast though.

I had done some "exercise" lately. I used the staircase to get to my room on third floor, instead of the lift. And I've been carrying heavy things from Murni to Ilmu. Yes, I've successfully moved to Ilmu. The people at the accomodation office said that I'm meant to live in Ilmu, not Murni. So far, there's only two of us at the new apartment(me and this girl which I've become acquainted with before).Another girl only registered but does not live there.

My classes are OK. Civil subjects laa. I'm not really looking forward to attend Islamic and Malaysian Studies classes though. This sem I'm taking 17 credit hour. Tak jadi la amik 20. Hahaha. That's beyond my capabilities. This sem I'm taking:

Structural Analysis I
Hydrology & Hydraulic Engineering
Hydrology & Hydraulic Engineering Laboratory
Soil Mechanics I
Soil Mechanics Laboratory
Malaysian Studies
Islamic II

I need sunblocks. For face and body. I've always exposed to the Sun now. I want Clinique sunblocks coz they're allergy-tested. Other sunblocks make my skin break out in a rash.

Lately I've been driving like a...ermm,well, like a Malaysian. Sometimes I get distracted and careless. Now I even developed the "skill" of reading text messages while driving. I hope I won't get to the stage of typing text messages while I'm behind the wheel. From now on...Must.Drive.With.Care.

I'm outta here

Today I attend my first class which is Hydrology & Hydraulic Engineering. There were mostly familiar faces in the class so I felt sort of happy. I guess I'm only sad and lonely when I'm alone at my apartment at night.
Oh, speaking of apartment...I had submitted the appeal letter to move to Ilmu. But I don't think my housemate has moved out, coz her slippers were still at the front door, and sometimes I hear noises--people opening the door and showering.
One thing I hate about this apartment--the walls are so thin I kept hearing noises. Especially at night. Felt like someone is in the house, but when I looked, there's no one.
Sometimes I hear someone having a shower, which I'm POSITIVE that it's my housemate, and after she got out of the bathroom, I hear her going into her room. When I'm out of my room, the apartment looks empty. Not even a sound coming out from her room. Surely if someone's in the room, there should be some sound right? Voices, music blaring from the laptop, whatever. But no. It's as quiet as the dead.
It's like living with a ghost. Maybe she is a ghost. She's too pale to be a human being.

I want to try and learn to survive a weekend here in my apartment, but the pros of going back home outweights the cons. If I'm home I can:

-eat good food
-sleep in my comfortable room
-watch Desperate Housewives
-download songs coz the Internet speed at home is much faster than in Uniten

First day of this sem

Today I didn't go to any classes. I only have soil mechanics lab in the morning (first week=no lab!) and Malaysian Studies class at night. Didn't go to the night class on this reason:

It's a huge class and I don't have any friends coz Wani is in Melaka and there's no way I'll attend a NIGHT CLASS ALONE. Especially if it's in coit (that's College of Information Technology for non-Uniten students out there).

Today what I did was:
-Woke up at 7.30am coz I got add-n-drop at 8.30. Ate two pieces of wholemeal bread for breakfast. Showered, got ready and walked to the computer lab. No need to drive coz it's near.

-Registered in Soil Mechanics I and Islamic II class.

-Went back to my room, my bf called and I complained about how shitty my life is, and he told me to stop being depressed coz it will make my hormones go crazy again.

-Read Life Swap by Jane Green.

-Went to the computer lab again to register Msian Stdies class for Wani. Met my bf, went to Alamanda and had lunch.I had BBQ spinach noodle (no carbs allowed).

-Had a karaoke session. I sucked, coz a)I haven't karaoke for a year I think and b)I hate my life.

-Went back to Uniten, and continued reading Life Swap. If I'm given the chance to swap lives, I want to be in the place of someone beautiful, already has a degree, married and pregnant. And rich.

-By 6pm I was starving, had dinner with my bf and then came home only to find out that my extremely stuck-up housemate has packed all her things and moved. So now I'm staying alone in this scary apartment.

Earlier this morning I bumped into my friend and she told me to move back to Ilmu coz it's empty. I was too lazy to pack my stuffs and move but after I'm all alone here, and after discussing with another friend, she strongly reccommended that I make an appeal letter to move back to Ilmu. I'm up for it, but let's just hope that this whole process seems as easy as it sounds like.

I've arrived at my new apartment

At first I'm unhappy.
New environment. Outside my bedroom window is a corridor. Which means people can see me sleeping and all, if I don't close the curtains properly.
And then I asked my housemate if the Internet is available. She said no.
I was frustrated. No connection to the outside world. Then my bf told me to try first.
I tried, and there IS an Internet connection. Yay.
So I was happy. A bit.
And I'm gonna be even happier if the classes on Friday are change to other days.

One more day at home!

I was being depressed for nothing!

Tomorrow the minister of higher education is coming to our campus, and the morning classes are canceled coz all the lecturers have to attend that event. So one more day for me at home! Coz tomorrow I only have Structural Analysis class in the morning, and the rest of the day I have no class.

Anyway I think it's unconvenient that the event is being held on Tuesday and our add n drop timeslot is brought forward to Wednesday. I've missed so many classes coz I can't register yet (3 hours of Soil Mechanics, 2 hours of Islamic and 2 hours of Technical Communication). Oh, and I ponteng 2 hours of Malaysian Studies also. Hehe. And the Msian Std lecturer sent an e-mail, forcing me to attend the event at MPH with the minister, but I ignored the e-mail as well.

Last night had dinner out with my besties. Venue: Pizza Hut, Tesco Ampang. That's the nearest place to our houses. Actually, they're the ones who had dinner. I just sat there and watch while they eat their oily pasta and cheesy pizza. Carbohydrate and sugar are my enemies now. Before I meet them at Pizza Hut, I had a light dinner of boiled chicken sausages.

Apartment check-in

-My new water tumbler!-
-Blue Flower Journal-

Went to Uniten to check into my new apartment. Thank God the elevator was functioning. If not I would have to drag my heavy bags up to third floor. My room looks like a prison. Dark, gloomy, sad, depressing. The curtain looks like it haven't been washed since Uniten first opened in 1997. The toilet is quite inconvenient-the toilet bowl and shower are seperated. It's a hassle if in the mornings I want to pee and then take shower.

Went home, then had lunch at Great Eastern mall. Tried "Braised Towfoo" at Chicken Rice Shop for the first time. Taste good, plus it's a source of progestrone also. The towfoo is braised in soy sauce. Yummy.

My dad got RM20 Starbucks voucher coz Starbucks is promoting its brand name to Malaysia Airlines, so I got the pink water tumbler I've always wanted! Heehee. Now I got a cool water tumbler to bring to class everyday, to keep my skin hydrated.

And then, get this--MPH was having a sale at the mall's ground floor and they even have discounts for Peter Pauper journals!! Although it's tempting to buy almost everything on the shelf, I settled for one notebook only, Blue Flower Journal. Original price RM29.90, reduced to RM22. OK, no more notebooks after this.

Ever since I found out about my condition, I seem to have a dislike towards pregnant women, but I grew even more fond of children. Just now I saw this cute little girl hugging a white stuffed cat. Her dad was holding her and she was asking her mum a bunch of questions about her toy. It make me feel sad witnessing the whole happy family thing.

Trying-to-be-happy day

I'm in a bad mood today. Holiday is coming to an end, classes will start next week. I need a longer holiday!
Today, instead of staying at home and feeling miserable, I went to Ampang Point. Bought two pair of shoes! I'm not a shoe collector, I only buy them when I really need it. And right now I really need new shoes. It's time to throw away my beloved pink beaded sandals coz it had worn out. Actually it was my mum's suggestion that I buy two pair of shoes (she even paid for one pair), coz I tend to wear the same shoes all the time.
When it comes to shoes, I love wedged heels coz it makes me a few inches taller and it's more comfortable than stilettos. So I bought two pair of round-toed shoes with wedged heels. One is black (so that I can match it with any outfit) and another pair is white with black dots (cute).
I also bought some new makeup! The new collagen lipstick from Maybelline, and the L'Oreal Star Secrets kit. Now that everyone is raving about mineral makeup, I wanna see how good it is, so I bought the Revlon Mineral Foundation.

Can't wait to start The Pill and have clear, beautiful skin! Heehee. Stupid androgen!!!

My crazy diet

Discovery #1: soy products have soothing effect on hormones.
My diet: I ate lots of Japanese tofu and made sure I drank at least a packet of soy bean milk every day.

Discovery #2:soy products can disrupt menstrual cycle. Eat more complex carbohydrate instead of processed carb.
My diet: I stop eating soy, and eat lots and lots of wholemeal breads and oatmeal, and cut down on white bread and rice.

Discover #3:hormonal imbalances occur when estrogen levels are higher than progesterone. To reduce estrogen levels, stop eating estrogen-rich food such as OATS and WHOLEMEAL.
My diet: Stop eating wholemeal breads and go back to eating soy.

Arrrghh!!So pissed off. Dunno which one I can trust.

I can't describe how depressed I am right now. The Malaysian Studies class on Tuesday and Wednesday has been shifted to Monday! Meaning that I have no choice but to attend classes from Monday till Friday. Huhu. I hope the lecturers for the Friday classes shift the classes to other days.

Got my apartment already...in Murni. It's my first time staying there. I don't really prefer it coz I hate taking the elevators and I've heard that it's not safe. Plus, it's like starting over my life again. New place, new classmates. Life sucks!

My holiday is ending :(

My holiday is finally coming to an end, the new semester is starting next week, and I'm feeling sadder than ever!
EIS result out today. I got A-. Mum's reponse was "Wow, that's good!", Dad's response was "That's OK laa...A also right??" *Sigh* I wish he went to university so that he'd know what a pretty big deal a A- is (to an average student like me).
Funny though. I didn't enjoy my stay in Auckland but now I keep thinking about the place. Right now I wish I can teleport myself there. In fact I would go anywhere, as long as I don't have to stay in Malaysia and face the new semester!
I'm no longer into bags.Got a new interest now...collecting fancy notebooks! Can't get enough of them.

The third notebook from left...I made it myself! Hihi.
