Satisfying Shopping Spree

One of the great things about getting married is shopping for hantaran.

This was how the backseat of Yasser's car looks like after our shopping spree.

Anyway, he bought me a gold-plated Guess watch studded with Swarovski crystals.

I bought a Savile Row belt & wallet set for him.

Initially I was skeptical that Savile Row is really from London. Then I googled the brand and yes, it really originates from London.

I also bought a lilac shirt and purple tie for him at Marks & Spencer.

Apart from the hantaran, I also bought a pair of new shoes for office wear, a blazer at Dorothy Perkins, a pair of pearl drop earrings at Diva, some stationery at Daiso and Cotton On sunnies.

Can't wait to shop for more hantaran!

Beautiful Quotations

I like following those girlish quotations pages on Twitter. Things that they posted are well said, relatable and inspirational. A few of my favourites:

-The bad thing about romance movies is that it shows us what we wish we had.

-Silence is a girl's loudest cry. You will always know she's deeply hurt if she's ignoring you.

-Maybe sometimes people don't change, maybe you just never really knew who they were.

-Stick with friends who saw you, when nobody else did, and who were true from the very start.

-Some people make your life better by walking into it, while other people will make your life better by simply walking out of it.

-Don't quit because something went wrong...quit because you tried your hardest and nothing made it better.

-I'm proud of my heart. It's been played, stabbed, cheated, burned and broken, but somehow still works.

Reasons why I hate CIMB Bank

1. Salary comes in one day later than Maybank-ers.

2. I know a few annoying people who works at CIMB.

3. There's this one time, I was desperate to withdraw some cash from CIMB Ampang Point branch, and there was a group of security people who wanted to add bank notes into the ATM machines. For other banks, whenever the security people wanted to put in the money into the ATM machine, they will just block that one particular ATM machine. But on that day at CIMB, they closed the entire bank so there was a large group of people (including poor old me) waiting outside the bank for almost half an hour (or maybe longer), sweating and cursing.

4. Whenever I'm in the middle of a very crucial transaction, I clicked the button to request for TAC but the TAC was never sent to me!!! And then, of course, the webpage time out.

I love my BB

Today because of the rally going on in KL, I cannot go out. Have to stay home and bore myself to death. And then guess what? My Streamyx wi-fi doesn't work! How the heck am I going to video chat with my fiance???

Fortunately, my Blackberry is my saviour. Previously I had tried to install the BB software on my laptop but somehow the installation was unsuccessful. Today I made a few more attempts to install (which involve turning off my anti-virus, shutting down the firewall and cursing at my laptop) and then...it worked! I used to be a technologically-challenged person, but after working in Systems I guess I've improved :-P

So now I have a good Internet connection, thanks to my BB which acts as a modem. The speed of Celcom broadband is twice faster than Streamyx! I did the right thing of signing up for the Celcom package for MAS staff. Hehe.

OK people, hope you enjoy staying home during the weekend! As for me, I'm going to continue being jakun with my fast broadband connection. Bye!
