The day has arrived

No more late nights.

No more burning the midnight oil reading and memorizing and calculating and thinking.
No more feelings of guilty, and thinking, "Uh-oh, have I covered the last chapter for Soil Mechanics?" or "Shoot I forgot to read this and that" while watching my favourite show on TV or Facebook-ing.

I've finished all my exams. And I've gotten through the most critical part of my education: the third year (Sem 1: 17 credit hour, Sem 2: 18 credit). After this there's not many subjects to take (hopefully).

Actually I was just exaggerating about the part where I stayed up late at night studying. I never stayed up past midnight to study. Hehe. Even though I get plenty of sleep, somehow my eyes become swollen like two ping pong balls. Last week it was my right eye, and it made me look like I had 3 eyelids. And a few days ago it was my left eye. My eye bag looks like an overstuffed coin purse or something!! And my eyes ached soo much when I look at formulas and graphs! Haha alasan tak nak study.

And everytime after the end of a semester, I would make my to-do list. My current to-do list is simple (What for create a long list? It's not like I will do all the things I listed).

To-do:

1) Clean my room, get rid of lecture notes (Of course, every sem).
2)Watch movies, TV all the time.
3)Work out. My arms are as flabby as an ape's!
4)Scrub my face. I think the dead skin cells on my face are almost an inch thick!Hahaha.
4)Read!

MY READING LIST:

I only have 5 days break before the start of industrial training. Huhu. Better make full use of it.

Stressed skin

I'm so busy studying that I couldn't even care less about my skin.

I even committed one of the skincare sins...not wearing sunblock whenever I go out. My exam had been going on for almost a week now, and everytime I leave the house, I never put on any sunblock and exposed my skin to the harmful UV rays. Uh, nevermind. It's only been a week I didn't protect my skin.

Besides that, I don't properly moisturize and exfoliate my skin. I just don't have time to follow my usual skincare regime. As a result, my pores are clogged and my skin looks rough. Pimples also started coming out...I got a huge one on my chin. Damn it.

My skin is in dire need for a facial! I haven't used the mask for a few weeks now. My skin looks just like how it did a few years back. I don't like the sight of it.

Shit happens...

...and yesterday it happened to me in the form of Steel Design final exam.

I expected the questions would be something like what I've learnt in class. But when I first read the paper, my heart sank like the Titanic.

What the hickory heck is this??? I was absolutely CLUELESS.

But I just did the best I could, writing all sorts of nonsense down. I was fighting back tears while I was doing the paper. I answered the paper like someone who had never learnt Steel Design before.

For the next few months I'll be praying that I'll pass this subject.

Now I really regret taking this stupid course. Should have taken a diploma in fashion design or something like that.

Foldable hair straightener

I curi these pics from my cousin's blog (how come I cannot link people's blogs nowadays??).

It's the Phillips Salon Straight Want 2 Move.

It comes in a cute pouch.

It's on my wishlist now. But I'm still undecided whether to buy the whole Phillips styling set or this small hair straightener. Both are at about the same prices.
And I'm still debating where to buy any hair styling tools or not. Coz right now I'm using the Vidal Sasoon ceramic straightening brush (similar to a straightener). I bought it for RM16 only. And the effect on my hair is quite good. Not poker straight, but my hair looks more sleek for sure. My hair is already straight, I don't know if I still need any straightener. But the shopaholic instinc in me says, "Buy it! But it!" Haha. So evil lah my shopaholic side.
I've changed my blog title. It just sound so...common (now that the movie's out). This new title is temporary, until I settle for a better one. Haha I'm so not creative. Always copying titles from books.
Why am I still blogging? I'm supposed to finish studying everything I learnt this semester in 1 WEEK!

Wanted!

Fitted pencil skirts!
I like the black one the most. It's from Forever 21.
I want to go out so badly! But I have no choice but to quarantine myself for two weeks. For two weeks I cannot set foot in a shopping mall. For two weeks I have to study.

I'm feeling awful.

Today is that time of the month and I feel so weak! =( I'm blaming iron deficiency. I think I'm anaemic now, coz I lost a lot of blood. And I don't like to eat iron-rich food, like kerang, and all those organs. Eeeyurgh! How am I going to study like this??

I'm a zombie

Studying for Water & Wastewater test this Monday. Trying to finish (and understand) the Soil Mechanics project. Studying for 6 final exam papers.

Right now is one of those times when I would brush my teeth using my cleanser, lather shampoo on my body and shower gel on my hair, and pour juice into a bowl instead of a mug.

20 more days to go! I can't wait!

Reasons why I can't wait...

1. Dirty water

Today I brought my cute Little Miss tumbler to class. Then I noticed some yellowish flocks settled at the bottom of the bottle. I pointed that out to Kak Shahadah. She said, "Laa...tak tau ke?Air kat Uniten memang macam tu. Kalau isi air kat Uniten ni dalam botol, lama2 boleh kuning botol tu!"

No wonder all my tumblers turned a garish shade of yellow after a while!

This is the result of Jar Test in environmental engineering lab:
Fyi, my drinking water looks a bit like this, except that the flocks down there were much smaller. IT'S DISGUSTING.

2. I have a test this Friday night.
Which means that I can't attend Mr.Y's sister's engagement (where I am the VIP guest, everyone's looking forward to meet me! Haha perasan)

3.Refer to my Headache list.

I can't go out with my long lost friend Wani because of that.

4.My housemate.

She's rarely at home. She opened the living room window until all the lizards came in. And I don't know what she did but I came home from class this evening and found that the bathroom floor is MUDDY. Yuck. And the toilet seat's fallen off as well.

P/S: My dear readers, please don't get bored of my blog. I will stop whining about university life once the semester is over. During my holiday, I can guarantee interesting posts to prove that I do have a life =D

All stressed up

Aween said that one of the funny things about my blog is the way I kutuk civil engineering which will surely kill any prospective students' interest in that course. Ha ha.

Here's another (usual) routine of blogging about how CE makes my life a living hell...

OK,let's start...

You know what's the one thing that I hate the most??

Test(s).

Especially if the lecturer always cancel classes, so the test will be delayed and you'll have to take those friggin' tests near your final exam. People always say it's a good thing. Coz when you study for your test, it's like studying for the final as well.

But that's not my style. I prefer to study for finals WEEKS before.

I can't believe my luck this semester. A week before final, and I'm still busy with mid term tests and projects! And the projects aren't easy. You'll have to go out and get information. Shit how am I going to find the time??

Oh, did I mention I have quizzes as well? Very nice.

And tests are bad for your love life too. You cannot date. When you do date, you'll have to come home early. And the stress isn't good either. You'll be fighting with your partner.

I don't know when can I go on a date that's fun. After this both of us will go for practical training, and the only time left for dates is on weekends. When the malls and cinemas are PACKED.

Benciiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii

By the way, I envy my dad's job. I want his job! He gets to go to amazing parties all the time. Tonight he's going to this cocktail party thing and he gets to watch the preview of Confessions of the Shopaholic!!!
But he's not interested, so the ticket's wasted. I wish the ticket is transferable.

My mum shouldn't have quit working in the first place.

She should have said she wanted to "take a break", instead of "retiring."

Coz now she's bored to death, and wants to start working again, but my dad won't let her. Ha ha.

Her solution is to work from home.

Now both of us dah berebut laptop coz she wants to type her resume, and I wanna do my water engineering project. Worse, she is computer illiterate and ask me to teach her this and that all the time.

Anyway, my bf got himself a new phone. Nokia ExpressMusic. I'm using Nokia now as well.
Sibuk je dia tu nak pakai Nokia gak. But my phone is the classic Nokia. It's a good phone, except for these two things:

1) I couldn't turn off the camera sound so whenever I camwhore in class everyone knows and laugh at me.

2) the sound quality is very poor. People with hearing problems shouldn't buy this phone!

Brand new clutch!

Went to Pavillion with the bf.

Since my Times bookstore card is about to expire in April, I thought I'd better make full use of it. Bought a couple of books.

Then we went to Lot 10. I was attracted by the SALE sign at Topshop. Spotted something I really, really like...a hot pink clutch! 50% off. I couldn't get my hands off it.

The clutch comes with a strap. So you can wear it either as a clutch/sling bag/shoulder bag. I lurrrve this kind of bags! Gives me flexibity to wear it in any style I want. Topshop and Miss Selfridge have lots of bags like this.

Mum's birthday

Today is my mum's birthday. I gave her a cute birthday card. I don't know what to get her. For her past birthdays, I bought her a few things and it turned out that she didn't like them. I wish my mum is a bookworm like me, so I can just simply buy her a good book. Too bad I'm the only one in the family who likes to read. I wonder from whom I inherited this from?

She wanted the Valentine's Day Swatch, I couldn't afford it. I wanted to buy her a box of Mingles, but I couldn't find it. The Body Shop Vitamin E neck gel--too boring. Recipe books--even more boring. Brooches--too cheap.

So this morning she mentioned about her nonexistent birthday, so me and Mr.Y bought her one. So it's settled then. This year I gave her a card and birthday cake.
