Tips melansingkan badan di bulan Ramadhan (How to REALLY lose weight during Ramadhan)

by:Dr.Nana (hehe perasan)

Some people lose weight during the fasting month, some don't.In fact, they even gain weight. Why is that??? Aren't we supposed to lose a kilo or two during the fasting month???
Well, here's an simple explanation. People don't lose weight coz they pig out when they break fast. When we fast, our body goes into starvation mode. Our metabolism rate becomes slower. So imagine if we eat a lot when we break fast, and then a few hours later we go to sleep. There's no activity to burn out the consumed calories.

TIPS ON HOW TO MAINTAIN (OR LOSE) WEIGHT DURING THE FASTING MONTH:

1)First, start your buka puasa by gulping down lots of water.
At least a glass.

2)Eat fruits before you eat the main course.
Yes, think of fruits as appetizer, not dessert. Eating fruits after the main course will slow down the digestion process and will lower down your mental ability. Hehe. Plus, it can fill you up.

3)Don't go to bazaar Ramadhan.

Seriously, you don't need all those extra food. Just eat whatever your mum cooks. Foods at bazaar Ramadhan are unhealthy, high in calories, high in fats, oily, high in carbs bla bla bla.

So easy! 3 steps only!If you follow the first 2 steps, you will notice that just a small amount of main course (rice, lauk pauk) can make you full.

Selamat mencuba!

Crocs

I'm not a fan of Crocs. Or, at least, I wasn't a fan of Crocs.
The popular Crocs sandal. I think it looks a bit like a toad. Sorry Crocs fans! :)
Then Crocs came up with this wedged heel Sassari sandal. I remember thinking, "Wow, Crocs finally has feminine shoes! With heels!" So I bought 1 pair of Sassari for myself, in celery white (as in the picture).

After that, I really didn't give much attention to Crocs. I didn't follow their latest collections and everything. Anyway, this morning I was surfing the Crocs website and I was surprised to find that they have a lot of variety for their shoes!

Crocs Tarfuto (in Snake)

I can't believe Crocs has something like this in its collection! This is nice, but the heels are too low for my liking.

Crocs Rio (in Red)

Wedged heels with sexy red straps! I love this!

Crocs Pixie (in Beige Snake)

Another faux snakeskin Crocs. But again, the heels are not high enough for me.

Crocs Lena (in Bronze)

Wedged heels round-toed shoes!Cuteness!

Crocs Havana (in Berry-Pearl)

Love the colour!!!

Crocs Hanalei (in Black)
Crocs Ginger (in Black)

Crocs Cyprus (in Berry Berry)

This is my personal favourite. Actually Cyprus had been in the market for quite some time, and I've always wanted it. I think last semester I saw a pair of Cyprus in Bronze at one of the surau in Uniten. So I don't want to buy the bronze colour. Nanti sama with that girl who has it. Hehe.

Crocs Cupcake (in Black)

Crocs Crema (in Beige Snake)

Crocs Cookie (in Fuschia)
Crocs Cabana (in Black-Berry)

Perfect slippers to wear to the pasar malam. Hehe.

OK, so I've certainly underestimated Crocs before. Hehe.

Hmm...I wonder if all of these models are available in Malaysia? I found these pictures on the Crocs website.

P/S: Again, the first sentence in my post is bold and underlined. Grr what is WRONG with Blogger???

***edited***
Just found out that Rio, Lena, Havana and Cabana are available in the Malaysian market. Oooh I'm gonna buy either Rio or Havana!

Cuppies!

My aunt made some cupcakes for me!
Yeah...when it came to me it were plain vanilla cupcakes with no icing...
and with plain icing stored separately. My aunt told me to decorate the cupcakes! How nice... (sorry I forgot to rotate this picture)
These are the tools required for decorating the cupcakes...some colouring essence and nozzle...
The end result!

The cupcakes are a combination of my favourite colours! Yes, they are very simple and I used basic shapes. I'm not that creative like those people who can draw absolutely everything on cupcakes.Hehe.

Blogger dah tak betul. Everytime I begin an entry, the words will be underlined and bold.

OK, I have to start my research. *busy busy*

Bye.

Canon MP145

I bought THIS with my 2-weeks allowance...
Which means that for the next two weeks I can only eat rice with lady's finger and sambal belacan at the COE foodcourt.

Haha I'm just kidding. Next week is mid term break. But still, I spent a HUGE amount of money on this.

But at least I won't have to depend on the library printing shop anymore. And risk losing my money. I don't care if I have to spend extra on the ink cartridge, at least it saves me from all the troubles.

This printer makes a scary sound when it is printing something. And it took ages to install the driver software ( blame my slow computer).

But now I can print my reports etc. and I can even photocopy things. This is great.

Unlucky day

This afternoon I went to the printing shop to print five lab reports. When I plugged in my thumb drive, I realized that the computer only has Word 2003 ( I saved my files in Word 2007).

So off I went to KMC (one of Uniten's computer labs) to convert the files to Word 2003. By the way, Uniten has this stupid rule where you cannot bring in your bags into the computer lab. So I left my bag at the pigeonhole outside the lab.

After I was done converting the files, I went back to the library printing shop. While waiting for my turn to print, I opened my purse and found that all my money was gone! In a hurry to finish all my work, I forgot take out my purse out of my bag when I was at KMC! I NEVER leave my purse in my bag before. This is the first time I left it in my bag, and my money was stolen. Just my luck!

Thank God that idiot didn't steal my IC, driving license and ATM cards! So I went to the ATM machine and withdraw RM20. I went back to the printing shop and the queue grew longer and the guy in front of me was taking forever to print his report. I felt like clubbing his head with steering lock or something. Except that I don't have my steering lock with me.Hehe.

When it was my turn, that same guy asked for my permission to cut the queue and continued editing his work!Well, I can't say no, can't I?

Finally, I printed my reports. And the guess what? The printer took sooo long to print! 1 page takes about 30 seconds, no kidding!

Then, 10 years later, the printing job was done and I was ready to pay. The binding + plastic cover + printing costs me about RM32! So I went to the ATM machine again and withdraw some more money. Sedih tak dengar???

Count how many bold sentences in this entry. There's six. 6 bad lucks in one day.
However, no one kicks a dead dog right? So Lady Luck took mercy on me. Enough with the bad luck. My amazing, loving, best-in-the-world boyfriend gave me RM50 to replace the money I've lost. (I've lost about RM70 I think). I felt like crying when he gave me that money.

And Munirah gave me a pair of Charles & Keith strappy white stilettos. Just the kind of shoes I've always wanted.

This cheered me up...a bit. :)

P/S: After this I vow to keep my purse (and mobile phone) with me at all times. I will avoid carrying tote bags/hobo bags or whatever bags that are large in size that cannot be brought into the lab. I will only bring small handbags. And under any circumstances which I have to bring a large handbag, I will only leave my books in it.
