To all my readers...

May all of you have a happy and blessed Ramadhan!

Last date before Ramadhan

Today my bf and I went to Sunway Pyramid for our last date before the fasting month begins. Once we start fasting, we will be staying at home and study for finals :p Yeah right. I'll be watching Gossip Girl and Lipstick Jungle of course.

Anyway, I already bought the Roxy bag that I wanted. They offered 20% discount on new arrival items because of the National Day. I think this is all a sales trick coz they only give 20% discount on ugly bags. Seriously, when I came last time, all the new arrival bags were so gorgeous. Today, the bags on display are just...blah!

I bought this silver tote bag with two zipped pockets in front. No more snapped-on buttons for me! There are many times when my bags with snapped-on buttons were ruined. Those are not the bags I bought at some small shop, but they're Axxezz and Dorothy Perkins! So after this, I'll only buy bags with zips.

But I'm not 100% happy though. Coz last time I went to Sunway, I saw the tote bag that I bought, but in bronze. That is exactly what I want. But I think they won't give 20% discount on gorgeous bags. I've had too many silver bags already. Well, one actually, the ruined Dorothy Perkins bag doesn't count.

I don't know how I got my bag addiction. But it started since I was a kid. I remember when I was little, I went to New York, and prior to the trip, I had written a shopping list. Bag Mickey Mouse was on top of the list. I just love bags. When I was a little girl I would stuff all my toys in a bag and carry them around the house.

OK, so it's settled. I finally got the bag. But I have a new wishlist. And everything on the list is related to computers. (Since when did I become a techno geek??)

Went to Harvey Norman and saw this pink laptop case which cost only RM55! Can you believe that?? Laptop cases are always RM100+,RM200+ or RM300+. I've looked everywhere...KLCC, Sg.Wang...all laptop cases are expensive! But I didn't buy the laptop case at Harvey Norman coz I'm afraid it won't fit my laptop. But when I came home, I measured the length of my laptop and it's only 12.5'', the laptop case can fit up to 14''.

Oh, and I found this cute pink mouse, cheap too. Only RM19.90. I want that too.

And since everyone in Uniten now has an external hard disk (I observed that Uniten students are always ahead in the computing department, I still carry a thumb drive around and I thought I'm one of the tech-savvy people too, but everyone else carry an external hard disk now!). At first, when I saw my classmates have those external hard disk, I was like, "Who needs storage memory up to 250GB??!"..Plus,it's bloody expensive too! But just now at Harvey Norman I saw this HOT PINK external hard disk and I just lurrrve it! It cost RM219 :( Hopefully I got a lot of duit raya this year!!

Oh, I need new headphones too. Preferably pink. Pink laptop case, pink mouse, pink external hard disk and pink headphones.

**edited**

Once I got home, my mum was all busy body and checked on all my purchases which is kind of annoying, she asked how much things costs and stuffs. I lied that the bag's price after discount is actually the bag's initial price, and then I discounted the bag 20% further. Hahaha.

Got my multicooker already!! Surveyed the prices of multi cooker and induction cooker at Ampang Point the other day. Apparently, induction cookers are quite expensive (prices ranging from RM169-RM399) and they're quite dangerous too. It's hard to find multi cookers around but there's one available in Cosway, it costs only RM119 + 1 coupon. So my mum bought it today. The multi cookers at Cosway Ampang Point were all sold out, and the Cosway shop near my house was closed, but my mum managed to beg the owner to sell it to her. And she did! Yeay.

Brown eyes vs. blue eyes vs. green eyes

Now I'm undecided between brown lens or aqua lens or green lens. Coz I've just realized that I don't look so dark after all with brown eyes.
Think I'll go for brown lens again. Aqua lens have a greyish hue and anything grey will make my complexion look dull. And my bf thinks green eyes are weird, reminds him of snakes or something. So brown eyes, it is then.

Addicted to TV series

I've just realized that the Internet at my apartment is 24 hours.

And if you download stuffs in the morning, the Internet is superfast!

I had downloaded the entire season 4 of Desperate Housewives, the entire season of Lipstick Jungle (it will be aired on TV only next month!) and Gossip Girl.

After this I won't be such a boring person after all coz I watch some TV series.

In Gossip Girl, I like Blair, and I don't like Serena. Because Serena...

a)slept with Blair's boyfriend, Nate
b)is so nice it makes me sick
c)has all the guys falling for her (Nate, Dan...) and Blair has none
d)left Blair and dissappeared, then come back and pretend like nothing happen

And I think Blair has all the rights to be mean to Serena due to the above reasons.

Colour lenses

I'm thinking of changing my eye colour.
The Freshkon Colors Fusion lenses have bigger diameter compared to other brands, so it will give you the appearance of larger eyes.
I don't want Misty Grey coz I've tried grey lenses before and sometimes they make my skin look darker. I've also tried brown lenses and some shades of brown makes me complexion look dull too. So Hippie Chestnut, Warm Hazel & Perky Brown are out. Sky Blue will look totally weird on Asians, especially Malays. Romantic Violet isn't suitable as well, coz I've never seen a human with purple eyes. Green is nice, so now I'm undecided between Cool Green or Baby Aqua.
Baby Aqua isn't as shocking as Sky Blue and it looks more natural too.

Community service

Went to Zoo Negara for the first time in...err 16 or 17 years!!
Since I was coughing and having flu, the zoo people had to "quarantined" me. They won't let me work closely with the animals coz they're afraid their precious, beloved animals might get infected. I was happy with this arragement though. They won't let me do the "dirty" work, like cleaning cages and stuffs. At first, they told me and the other sick people to just walk around the zoo, but they thought we're so sad coz we can't do any work (puh-leaze!) so the assigned us some minor tasks. All I did today was carry stuffs, clean windows (3 windows only!) and roll posters. By 1pm, we're done with our tasks. But we had to wait til 4.30pm for the community service to finish, so we walked around the zoo.

I got the chance to see snakes up close, and eeeyurghhh...frogs.
I've always thought that tigers are cute, but the tigers at the zoo seemed kind of depressed and unfriendly. Same goes with the lions. And I've always liked penguins, but they're not that cute anyway when I saw them today. I discovered that there are a lot of other animals that are soo adoreable and cute.
Like the hippo. The hippo can be cheated easily. Visitors hold up their hands, pretending to throw food to the hippo, then the hippo would open its mouth wide, and then the visitors would take pictures.
The bear was the cutest creature of all! It's so eager when people feed it. It's actually SALIVATING when people throw bread at it. So cute. Saliva dripping on its fur. Hahaha. The bear can wave at people too! Omg, I felt like hugging the bear!
The deers were cute too.
OK, enough story. Enjoy the pics:

A horny elephant on its way to mate. Check out its hard on! By the way, there's elephant poo on the floor as well.
Yay, I got a close up view of the giraffe!!!
This is a friend of Yasser...Say hello!
Flamingos...Actually they are very very pink, but my lousy Cybershot didn't capture that.
A black panther...err, no a cougar...gee, I dunno.
A friendly tapir (what do you call tapir in English?)
This adoreable deer is begging for us to feed it...

There's not pictures of me...yet. Will get them from my friend a.s.a.p.

A brief history of honeymoon

The book "A Year in High Heels" is so cool.

A few things in it that I find interesting:

The history of honeymoon

The tale goes that in northern Europe...once upon a time, a new bride was abducted from the neighbouring village. In order to keep his bride, the groom/abductor took her to an unknown hiding place, and had his wicked way :D
He waited till the bride's family gave up the search.

The wedge

The wedge was invented by Salvatore Ferragamo in 1936.

It's my favourite kind of footwear. The advantage of wedges over a stiletto is that there is more generous centre of gravity, so you can run all day. My wishlist!!

I still want the bag. Still haven't found the perfect bag for me. I'm not so happy with the Roxy bag. Nevermind, next week is long weekend coz of National Day. Yipee! Time for shopping.

Oh, and I want a multi cooker! Induction cookers are more expensive, so a multi cooker will be perfect for me cooking at my apartment.

Worry

Was thinking what to wear to the Islamic studies community service at the zoo this Sunday.
At the briefing we were told to wear something that "you can work in". And of course I'll have to wear tudung and a long-sleeved t-shirt.
At first I thought I don't have any decent long-sleeve tops. Raid through my closet and as it turned out, I have plenty of long-sleeved tops from Miss Selfridge, FCUK, United Colors of Benetton and Elle. I rarely wear them.
So now I'm thinking what sort of pants I should be wearing. All my tracksuits are so uncomfortable. But I can't do the dirty work in my Levi's, can't I?
I hope my cough subsides before this Sunday.

New bag

Went to Sunway Pyramid with my bf today. Mission: to look for a bag. Bag must be large, designer and is on sale. Couldn't find any bag that fit these criteria. If the bag is cheap and spacious, it's not designer. Large designer bags are on sale, but still cost over my budget. I don't wanna go home empty handed (coz only God know when is the next shopping trip since parents are on tight budget and aren't keen on shopping lately). Then I found this cute Roxy bag. BUT it's small. But whatever, it's cute...except for those hideous yellow-blue-white stripes. But if I wear the bag on the back side instead of the front, it looks FINE. So being a compulsive shopper I am, I bought it. After all, it's on sale.

I went home and suddenly, those yellow-blue-white stripes bothers me so much that I couldn't bear to look at the bag! As soon as I got home, the bag suddenly seem so UGLY and I had to keep it inside my closet coz I can't bear to look at it! Usually when I've just bought a bag, I'll put it on a pedestal and admire it for days. OK, not a pedestal, I hang it on my closet but the point is, I love all my bags. But this time, I spent my money on...on THIS?? Thing THING... Which is funny coz the bag looks fine back at the shop. Well, everything looks better at the shops right? Maybe there's something with the lighting and all that. Maybe some things are better left at the shop, where they belong. When you go home, things just aren't the same.

Actually what I like the bag is the flowery part. But the designer at Roxy must be colour blind or something coz the bags at Roxy this season have clashing and mismatched colours. If only the bag is entirely dark blue and flowery, it will look muchhh better. Those yellow-blue-white straps ruined EVERYTHING.

And then I had an idea.

If those stripes bothers me so much, why not cut it off? Besides, I don't need an extra pocket outside.

So, with two scissors as my tools (a paper scissors and a rounded-tip scissors), I cut off the front pocket!

The whole process is kind of hard, coz the fabric it's hard to cut the fabric. I give Roxy a perfect 10 for quality.

I've never cut any bags I've bought. Especially if it's Roxy or Dorothy Perkins or Nine West and cost me my 1-week allowance. If it's cheap, then it's another story. But the point is, I've never cut any bags. Cheap or expensive. I respect my bags, just they way they are. But this one...it's just an eye sore.

Anyway I think the bag looks better once the front pocket is gone. Don't you think so?

From this...

To this...

It looks better and cuter! :)

But I think it'll be so much better if it's entirely dark blue, don't you think? Seriously Roxy needs to employ me as their designer.

Besides, I'm pretty sure there are a lot of people out there having the same bag as me, but since I've cut the front pocket off, I'll never be same as anyone out there! Heehee.

Finally got my loan. Yay.
Last time, I NEVER look forward to have the study loan in my bank account. When the loan came in, I was like, yeah, OK, whatever. I couldn't care less.
But apparently, as you grow older, there comes a time when your parents stopped topping up the money in your bank.
That's when you start counting the days when your loan will come.
Just like all your friends do.

So with RM500 in my account, I went to KLCC today. (By the way, RM500 used to be a huge amount. Now I'm thinking how to survive on that money til I get the loan for next semester. What's happening to me??)

Bought an indigo full skirt at Warehouse (50% discount) and two books at Kinokuniya.
Hopscotch & Handbags.
A Year in High Heels.

The kind of books I lurrrve.

A week (or maybe more) in HELL

If there's one thing that I try to avoid at all cost...it's cough.

Seriously, once I'm infected with a cough, it can be a total NIGHTMARE. The cough will last for weeks. Sometimes if I'm lucky, a good strong medicine will do the trick after a few days or if I'm not so lucky, I'll have to suffer for months.

I got infected with this stupid cough last week. I was with my bf and he said he didn't feel so good. Later that night I went home and I started sneezing. Great. Over the weekend, I was officially having a cough.

The reason why I'm sick is because I've been so busy that I forgot to take my vitamins.

I came to class, looking like a zombie. My friends mentioned my dark circles (due to lack to sleep--I only get about 2 hours of sleep at night. I was coughing all night long). Worse, I got a lot of tests to study for. When you're sick, all you wanna do is just sleep, sleep, sleep. Studying is the last thing you wanna do. But I have no choice. I had to leave my tests early, I didn't even check my answers, coz I was coughing uncontrollably (even though I brought a bottle of water and some cough lozenges).

Lucky me. I tend to get the "stubborn" cough virus. No cough lozenges can supress the cough. Seriously nothing works on me. Urghhh fucqing cough!

As for now, I've been to the clinics three time already. No kidding! When I first got the cough, I decided to be my own doctor and took Woods Peppermint and Tussidex Linctus. Both didn't work.

And then I went to the dispensary at Uniten. Hmm...let's just say that the cough syrup they gave me is milder than water+sugar.

And then I went home and went to this clinic near my house. I told the doctor that I got dry cough, no phlegm and I've taken the antibiotics from the dispensary. The doctor gave me a cough syrup that will induce phlegm and no antibiotics. I took that medicine and I got LOTS of phlegm in my throat I nearly suffocated.

Seriously with all these troubles I'm going through, sometimes I pray, God, please take me away. I can't take this anymore.

Anyway, this morning I went to the same clinic and the doctor gave me pills to supress the phlegm and antibiotics. So now I got no phlegm and I have the same itchy dry cough like I did before! Same old thing! It's like a cycle, you know.

Anyway, the coughing diet works on me. I'm now 46.3kg in the evening. In the morning I ate some bread. Then for lunch, a bit of rice and vegetables. And the same thing for dinner. No snack in between. If I'm hungry, I eat a banana. I can fit in my old jeans now. But the point is, I can't eat, even though I'm starving, coz everytime I eat I feel like I'm swallowing rocks. Even the soft Japanese tofu feels like thumbtacks in my throat. Welcome to my shitty life.

I really wish the cough will go away a.s.a.p. coz I really wanna go out shopping and watch movies and I can't do these things once the holiday is over coz I'll be slaving for exams again.

Please let all these be over quick.

New blog address

I've changed my URL.
I think if I use my name as the address, it suits me better.
Coz I'm not really a cookie monster. I love ice creams, candies, and chocs too.
Haha...OK...I'm talking nonsense here.
But the point is, the cookie monster is now insulin resistant and has to cut down on sugar, so no more cookies for me.
I'm planning to delete unimportant entries as well, leaving on the "highlight" events in my life. But I'm not sure when I'll have the time to do that, coz tomorrow I have Structural Analysis quiz, and then Soil Mechanics test, and the MASB mid term.

Assignments, lab reports, kursus kahwin, community service...

Lately I've been so busy with assignments and lab reports. Every week there's two lab reports to do.

My plan to date this weekend is totally ruined! I have to attend the kursus kahwin (marriage course--it's compulsory for couples to attend prior to getting married, but frankly, I don't see the point of doing that. Why can't people just get married straight away??). It's for Islamic II class. I have to do this community service thingy as well. There's a good news and bad news. The good news is that we're going to volunteer at the National Zoo, and not become a facilitator at some boring school or being sent away to some rural areas to live with someone else's family during the hols. But the bad news is, my community service is on the last day of the mid term break, which means that my holiday will be cut short.I'm so broke right now. Had to pay RM50 for the kursus kahwin, and RM10 for the volunteering at the zoo thing. I can't believe I'm paying RM10 to help feed some hungry animals and clean their cages and stuffs! I'm doing them a favour OK. Why do I have to fork out my money?

So my bf and I had our date today (Friday). Went to Sunway Pyramid. Bought a green heart-shaped beg (duo wear-can be hand held, and it comes with a long strap too). But it's not big. I still need an oversize bag. But will buy that later, now I'm still broke. No picture of my new bag either. Too lazy to upload.

By the way, I've discovered the perfect makeup remover for me. L'Oreal Cashmere Milk Expert Makeup Remover. It's a tissue-off kind of makeup remover, and it's cheap too, only RM22.90, compared to Clinique's Take The Day Off Cleansing Milk (RM105).
