Whatever you do, don't say these things to your girlfriends:
*Pointing to another girl*
"Look at her. She's so skinny. Why can't you diet and be like her?"
*At the cinema, staring open-mouthed at the actress on screen*
"She's gorgeous. Why don't you do your makeup like her?"
*Pointing to a poster*
"Look at that chick. You should do your hair like her."
Seriously, guys, if these statements had escaped from your mouth, stop it. Girls (well, most girls) hate it. We hate being compared, we hate knowing that we are not hot enough compared to other girls and we hate feeling not good enough for you.
I think guys should look at themselves in the mirrors first before commenting on their girlfriends. Some guys are not even handsome but they have the guts to make nasty comments to their girlfriends. I think it's really mean.
